So - been around for a little while in the branding scene, but still feel like the new kid on the block. I created the Designlinc when I was still at art school (over 20 yrs ago) and it’s stuck with me, I guess mainly because I still enjoy finding the missing link in every design challenge.
When I begin with any job, I seek to strip away all the peripherals to discover the simple truth that matters more than anything else. Once found, only then do we begin to wrap everything around the truth. The fancy stuff can sometimes be at the expense of the stuff that really delivers the best results.
I'm not a trendy coffee connoisseur and nor do I look very good in a fedora, but I am a bit of a dying breed of conservative creatives. I love looking for the common sense and creatively expressing it.
