The challenge - to create an inspirational brand for IT education in a heavily saturated market. The new brand offered a generous range of courses with a scope to hone the offering to be specialists with an additional higher education focus on innovative, critically minded thinking with industry commercial application.
Of all the brands I've created this proved to be one of the hardest. Developing the brand voice helped to differentiate the Institute from others. Market segmentation focussed on helping those who might not be a self-starter but are self-finishers.
With a strong emphasis on critical thinking, underpinned by the very edge of technology, the brand promised to advance innovative education. The brand manifested itself as an ever-living problem to be solved. It was designed to incorporate the hub and networking nature of ICT as well as combine the 3D box and the brand took on an ethos of extra-box thinking to question: what is the box? and finding solutions simply by looking at problems with new paradigms.


Brand engagement
We created two brand engagement calls to action. The first was focussed on the puzzle nature of the branding and using the logo as a device that could evolve. "Take it, make it, flip it, turn it" was born. This tied in with the direct call to action - to "start it".
The second brand engagement was focussed on the student's potential as we helped them to unravel their brilliance through innovation
